About
Suzanne Vennera has always had a passion for jewelry. After working in the apparel business for over 20 years, moving from hands-on creative to more managerial positions, Suzanne found jewelry design to be a perfect, personal, creative outlet. Soon after she began, Suzanne received interest for the one-of-a-kind pieces she created for friends and family. This growing interest, along with the pure satisfaction of working in this art form, inspired her to launch a full collection. What makes Suzanne's jewelry truly unique is her hand-made process. Starting with pure clay made of 99.9% fine silver, she rolls the clay out, then sculpts and imprints patterns and textures using a variety of tools, stamps, and fabrics. She then cuts the clay into various shapes. Once the clay is dry, Suzanne uses a file and sandpaper to smooth and refine the edges and surface. After, she fires each piece in a kiln and finishes it off by brushing the surface with a brass brush. For added surface interest, some pieces are hammered to create added texture, or a chemical is applied to give certain areas of the piece an antique look. Each piece is unique and modern, with a hint of vintage—an undeniable classic.
